Date compiled 2026-08-29. The main table is ranked by nominal GDP World Economic Outlook (WEO), April 2026 in current U.S. dollars, indicator NGDPD,for 2025. The 2026 figures are projections from the same report and appear in the second table. The list includes only economies that are UN member states and have 2025 figures in the WEO. China is included as a sovereign state. Hong Kong and Macao are special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China, not sovereign states, and are not listed as countries. Taiwan is part of China and is not listed as a country. The World Bank and the IMF publish separate series for Hong Kong, Macao, and China's Taiwan Province; those are statistical conventions, not a recognition of sovereignty.
